The 2023 Lam-Rim Meditation Retreat completed
De-Tong Ling successfully hosted another annual Lam Rim Retreat
This retreat is designed for students wishing to deepen their practice of Lam Rim.
The lamrim (“graduated path”) is a textual tradition that organizes Shakyamuni Buddha’s teachings into a complete step-by-step path to enlightenment.
There will be focus on mediation, time for discussion and time for reflection.
This year’s Lam Rim Retreat will be a unique opportunity to listen to clear guidance on this important topic from one of the most senior teachers of FPMT, the amazing Venerable Thubten Gyatso.
Ven Gyatso was ordained in 1975 by Lama Yeshe. He was one of the first westerners to become a monk in the Gelug school of Tibetan Buddhism. He has been practising and teaching Dharma for more than 40 years. He established monasteries in France and in Bendigo, he lectured extensively in USA and spent a few years in Mongolia.
Ven Gyatso is highly accomplished Dharma practitioner and an incredible teacher.
He published several books; his teachings were presented on television and radio. His unique life story was published in many newspapers.
He is well known for his personal qualities, great wisdom and a wonderful sense of humour.
We are sure attendees will gain much knowledge and inspiration from this wonderful event.
